Stabling info

Hello Competitors!

We are excited to have you back at WSS for our first horse trials since 2019! A couple of announcements that you might find useful for Friday and Saturday.

Thoroughbred Incentive Program Awards + Registration
We have a whole box of beautiful TIP ribbons and prizes for riders this year! If your horse is off the track, please send us their TIP number so we can be sure to award ribbons appropriately and get your placings sent in to TIP.

Don’t have a TIP number for your off the track thoroughbred? It is FREE and EASY and you can do it here: https://tjctip.com/APPLYTIPNUMBER

EQ Saddle Science Award
EQ Saddle Science is sponsoring a high point award for any rider who rides in an EQ Saddle. Check in with our secretaries when you pick up your competitor packet if you ride in an EQ Saddle.

Schooling Rounds
We are having both Stadium Jumping and Dressage schooling rounds on Friday afternoon. Due to the availability of our judges and officials, the rounds will run in the following time frames.

Schooling rounds are open to non-comp horses.  Please wear your number during schooling rounds.

Stadium Jumping 1:00 – 4:00 PM
We will run a SJ open gate from 1-4 PM, starting with the Starter and working our way up to Prelim. Based on the interest we have received for the schooling rounds, we anticipate the following approximate division times

Starter: 1:00 PM to 1:15 PM
Intro: 1:30 PM to 2:15 PM
Beginner Novice: 2:30 PM – 3:00 PM
Novice 3:15 PM – 3:30 PM
Training 3:45 PM – 4:00 PM

These times are approximate and will depend on how many riders attend schooling rounds. We will hold the gate for riders who are present, but cannot hold the gate if you are not on site.

Dressage 2:00 – 5:00 PM

Please note: the show secretary is NOT scheduling dressage ride times for schooling rounds. You MUST sign up using the provided link. This will allow you to select your own time and move or cancel your time if needed. This window may close early if not all spaces fill.

COVID Protocol
You are probably all familiar with this routine by now, but with the new rules regarding the COVID protocol we wanted to remind competitors, grooms, parents, and spectators of the following:

– Masks are still to be worn at all times, unless you are mounted.
– Temperatures should be self-monitored
– All individuals on the grounds must sign a USEF waiver. We will have copies at the office, but here’s the online version if you want to get a jump on it: https://www.usef.org/forms-pubs/FDs-pIVXI9U/usef-waiver-release-of-liability

Volunteers
We need them and we love them! Volunteers can sign up here, or come directly to the show office on Friday or Saturday.

See you Saturday!
